I have approximately three weeks until I leave, and everything seems to be falling into place.
Mr. Coleman has my blazer, and should soon be setting a date for me to be publicly "Blazered," as my friend Tiffany put it.
I have all my paperwork for the trip... plane ticket confirmations, passport, visa, insurance policies, school information, etc.
All in all, everything is coming together quite nicely! I have been talking to my host family through skype, and they have been talking to me about learning the language.
And that brings me to my present state.
Which consists of me armed with a pencil, linguanaut.com, and a myriad of printing paper. Said paper is covered in a sorry attempt to make my chicken scratch resemble certain characters in the Chinese "alphabet" and a few choice phrases. What's suprising is that i am, in fact, making progress.
I think my subconscious is starting to give off warning signals to my memory saying "hey! you! if you don't start retaining this, you'll be hurting later!!"
Kind of reminds me of Across the Universe.
You know, "Learn French. Learn French or die."
But back to the Taiwan preperations.
I've also made some Tennessee coin pins to trade once i get there.
I bought luggage.
And this whole this is getting very, very, tangible.
I can't wait!
Thanks for reading,
